Plagiarism Policy

The Iranian Political History Research Journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic honesty and publication ethics. Plagiarism in any form constitutes a serious violation of ethical standards and is strictly prohibited.

To ensure the originality and integrity of submissions, all manuscripts undergo a thorough plagiarism check using iThenticate plagiarism detection software before being sent for peer review. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, substantial copying of others' work without appropriate citation, or any other unethical academic conduct, will be rejected outright.

Authors are advised to ensure that their submissions are entirely original and that any sources are appropriately cited. If plagiarism is detected after publication, the article will be retracted, and necessary actions will be taken in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.


Article Processing Charges (APCs)

In order to support the operational costs associated with high-quality open access publishing, including the management of peer review, editorial processes, archiving, and online hosting, the Iranian Political History Research Journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 1,500,000 Tomans per accepted article.

APCs are payable only upon acceptance of the manuscript. There are no submission charges. Payment of the APC does not influence the editorial decision-making process, which is based solely on the academic merit of the submission and the results of the peer-review process.

Authors will be provided with an invoice upon acceptance of their manuscript, and payment instructions will be communicated promptly. Fee waivers or discounts may be considered in exceptional cases based on financial hardship or institutional agreements.


Peer-Review Process

The Iranian Political History Research Journal follows a strict double-blind anonymous peer-review process to ensure impartiality, fairness, and academic rigor. Both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous throughout the review process.

The review process is outlined as follows:

  • Upon submission, manuscripts are initially screened by the editorial team for adherence to the journal’s scope and basic quality standards.

  • Suitable manuscripts are then assigned to two or three independent expert reviewers with relevant academic backgrounds.

  • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, scholarly rigor, significance, structure, clarity, and contribution to the field of Iranian political history.

  • Reviewers provide detailed comments and recommendations, which may include acceptance, minor revisions, major revisions, or rejection.

  • Based on the reviewers’ reports, the Editor-in-Chief makes a final decision on the manuscript. If revisions are required, the authors are given a deadline to submit a revised version, which may be re-evaluated.

  • All efforts are made to complete the review process promptly, but thorough and thoughtful reviews are prioritized over speed.

The journal is committed to ensuring transparency, confidentiality, and academic integrity throughout the peer-review process.


Archiving and Repository Policies

The Iranian Political History Research Journal is dedicated to the long-term preservation of published scholarly content. The journal ensures that all articles are permanently archived and remain accessible for future generations of scholars.

Self-Archiving:

  • Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit the published version (Version of Record) of their article in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal websites, or academic networking sites immediately upon publication, with proper acknowledgment to the journal.

  • Self-archived versions must include a citation to the original article and a link to the journal's official website or DOI (Digital Object Identifier) of the article.

Journal Website:

  • All published articles are hosted on the official website of the Iranian Political History Research Journal in a stable and secure online environment.

  • The journal website ensures easy access, searchability, and long-term digital preservation of all published content.

  • Backup copies of the website and the database are maintained regularly to safeguard against data loss.
